Roffman Band Instrument Service offers high quality, refurbished, student line rent to own instruments for those with youngsters ready to begin their musical education in school music programs.
Our rent to own instrument (RTO) program is designed to help everyone participate in band. All of our used instruments have been through our shop, the woodwinds have been repadded and the brasswinds and percussion have been thoroughly cleaned with any needed factory replacement parts installed such as valves and tuning slides and dents removed. All of our instruments carry a one year warranty which means we take care of any problems, except damages incurred above and beyond normal wear and tear, for the entire year you are renting to own. Due to the nature of used instruments, you may expect some cosmetic scratches, lacquer and plating wear. Some of our instruments may look “more used” than others but do not affect how the instrument plays as any mechanical issues have been addressed will last through out your student’s band career or even a lifetime. All instruments come with either a new or a sanitized gently used mouthpiece, ligature, cap, reeds, swab, grease, oil as pertaining to the instrument, and a sturdy case. We offer folding music stands for home use at a discount for our rental customers.
We realize that there are times when children change their minds. We offer a thirthy day return or exchange policy. You may of course return the instrument at any time if things do not work out or you may purchase the instrument outright without having monthly payments. All monies paid are applied to the purchase. We do not charge any interest or any “maintenance” fee for our contracts. Residents of the Hawkeye state must however pay sales tax.
Our monthly payments range from $35 to $125, our only requirement is a credit or debit card with any expiration date of one year year past the date of the contract. We charge your card either on the first or the fifteenth of the month and send you a statement.
We can rent you an instrument over the phone, by email or in our Charles City store. We call on schools in our local area weekly and can deliver the instrument to your child’s school or pick up and deliver it for any needed repairs. All you need to do is contact us to fill out a contract and choose your instrument.
